Industrial Plant Monitoring
Feb–May 2022
Manufacturing sector is one of the biggest industries in the business world. Yet it has been some time before industrial enterprises utilize current technologies like IoT. Industrial IoT technologies can provide systemwide optimization and help companies accelerate productivity, reduce machinery downtime, and provide an edge in operational process flows.

OBJECTIVE
It can be a huge struggle to monitor hundreds or thousands of machinery, even for a well-established company. This project was initiated to address the tedious issue of monitoring and analyzing data related to large numbers of machinery in various manufacturing plants. The application software aims to help manufacturing firms consolidate and keep real-time track of machine status, malfunctions, and anomalies, ergo, enable device management and data normalization.
APPROACH
To solve this problem, we created an IoT framework that collects data from IoT machines and sensors programmed to transmit data over the internet to a centralized database. This data comes from devices and systems deployed at the factory level and is organized on the database. This IoT connectivity enables replacing hierarchical structures in a factory, generating valuable insights and altering production plans quickly.
IMPACT
The client experienced a dramatic improvement in manufacturing outcomes. Their plant observed a 15% reduction in waste during different production processes, as any fault can be detected and fixed instantly. For those reasons, they have improved yields and the quality of goods. They can easily monitor their equipment's condition, functioning, temperature, etc. They also noticed a 20% increase in manufacturing speed since now they have better knowledge of the factory updates.
